1. Acceptance & Scope
By setting up, enabling, publishing, or continuing to use creator monetization features on Concord, you agree to this Creator Monetization Agreement & Rules, Concord’s Terms of Service & Community Rules, Privacy Policy, Paid Creator Content Terms, and any other terms shown during monetization setup.
If there is a conflict, this Agreement controls for creator monetization, Creator Earnings, payout ownership, fees, reserves, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, Stripe, and monetization enforcement.
2. Who This Applies To
This Agreement applies to any person or entity who configures, receives, manages, or benefits from creator monetization on Concord.
Members purchasing, subscribing to, unlocking, or tipping creator content are covered by Concord’s Paid Creator Content Terms.
3. Definitions
“Creator” means the person or entity monetizing a Circle, content, role, space, post, message, or benefit on Concord.
“Payout Owner” means the person or entity designated to receive payouts for a monetized Circle.
“Monetization Features” means paid supporter tiers, subscriptions, one-time offers, paid spaces, paid messages, paid posts, paid roles, bundles, trials, coupons, promos, tips, guest tips, creator feed monetization, collaborations, analytics, and payout tools.
“Creator Earnings” means amounts Concord records as payable or potentially payable to a Creator after platform fees, payment processing fees, taxes, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, reserves, payout reversals, negative balances, and other adjustments.
“Supporter Tier” means a recurring paid membership tier that grants access to creator benefits.
“One-Time Offer” means a non-recurring digital purchase, including paid spaces, roles, bundles, paid posts, or paid messages.
“Tip” means a voluntary support payment that does not grant access unless Concord expressly says otherwise.
4. Eligibility & Authority
You must be legally able to enter this Agreement, comply with applicable laws, and have authority to monetize the Circle, content, roles, posts, messages, spaces, and benefits you offer.
If you act for a company or another person, you represent that you are authorized to bind them. If you designate a Payout Owner, you represent that they are authorized to receive payouts and complete required Stripe or payment-provider onboarding.
5. Stripe Terms & Disclosures
Creator payment processing and payouts may be provided by Stripe. As a condition of Concord enabling creator monetization, you agree to provide Concord and Stripe accurate and complete information about you, your business, your payout ownership, and your monetized activity. You authorize Concord to share identity, account, tax, transaction, payout, refund, dispute, risk, and compliance information with Stripe.
Depending on your country, payout configuration, and Stripe account type, your use of creator monetization may be subject to one or more Stripe agreements, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, the Stripe Recipient Agreement, and the Stripe Services Agreement, as each may be updated by Stripe. Stripe may process your personal data as described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
You must not use creator monetization for activity prohibited or restricted by Stripe, including activity listed in Stripe’s Prohibited and Restricted Businesses, unless Stripe and Concord expressly allow it. If required, you also acknowledge Stripe’s Acquirer Disclosure. (We are working on welcoming NSFW content creators to Concord. At this time, explicit nudity and other graphical NSFW content is not permitted).
If Stripe or Concord determines that your account, content, business, payouts, or transactions create legal, compliance, fraud, dispute, or payment risk, Concord may reject, pause, restrict, refund, reverse, hold, or terminate monetization.
6. Concord’s Payment Activity Authorization
You authorize Concord to take actions reasonably necessary to provide creator monetization, including creating or managing Stripe-connected account setup, onboarding links, products, prices, checkout sessions, payment intents, subscriptions, application fees, transfers, payouts, refunds, dispute records, payout reversals, metadata, webhooks, and reconciliation records.
You also authorize Concord to correct, reconcile, reverse, or adjust creator ledger entries, entitlements, access grants, payouts, reserves, fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, and negative balances where Concord reasonably determines that correction is required.
7. Monetization Features
Concord may allow Creators to offer recurring memberships, one-time digital purchases, paid spaces, paid roles, paid messages, paid creator feed posts, bundles, tips, guest tips, trials, coupons, promotional pricing, creator feed collaborations, and related analytics.
Concord may add, change, limit, pause, or remove Monetization Features at any time for product, legal, payment-provider, app-store, safety, compliance, or operational reasons.
8. Creator Plans, Limits & Platform Fees
Concord may offer creator plans with different feature limits, analytics, and fees. Current platform fee schedule:
Core: 2.00% subscriptions, 2.00% one-time purchases, 0.00% tips.
Growth: 3.50% subscriptions, 3.50% one-time purchases, 0.00% tips.
Studio: 5.00% subscriptions, 5.00% one-time purchases, 2.00% tips.
Concord may offer promotional or lifetime fee reductions, including zero-fee promotions. Platform fees are generally calculated on eligible transaction amounts excluding taxes and discounts where payment data supports that calculation.
Concord may change plan features, limits, and fees with notice where required. We aim to keep fees consistent once you’ve selected a creator plan; however, we may adjust which features are included in each plan or introduce new, higher-priced plans with additional or more advanced capabilities at a later time.
9. Processor Fees, Taxes & Other Deductions
Stripe fees / payment processing fees, currency conversion, taxes, dispute fees, refund costs, chargeback costs, payout failure costs, and payment-provider adjustments may reduce Creator Earnings.
You are responsible for your own income taxes, business registrations, tax forms, reporting obligations, and compliance with tax laws unless Concord or a payment provider is legally required to handle them. (We may introduce a Merchant of Record service in the future to support Creators with these responsibilities).
10. Pricing, Descriptions & Member Expectations
You are responsible for accurately describing paid benefits, pricing, billing frequency, content access, renewal behavior, trial terms, limitations, and what members receive.
You may not mislead members, hide material limitations, promise benefits you do not intend to provide, or monetize content you do not have the right to sell.
11. Subscriptions & Trials
You may offer recurring supporter tiers or memberships. Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled by the member or ended through Concord, Stripe, an app store, or another supported billing path.
Trials, coupons, custom pricing, and promotions may be limited, revoked, or unavailable based on eligibility, campaign limits, fraud prevention, payment-provider rules, or Concord policy.
Subscription lifecycle events may be handled through Concord and Stripe, including renewals, failed payments, grace periods, cancellations, refunds, disputes, tier migrations, and access changes.
12. One-Time Offers, Paid Messages, Paid Posts & Tips
One-Time Offers may grant digital access to content, roles, spaces, messages, posts, or bundles. “Permanent” or “lifetime” access means non-recurring access for the lifetime of the availability of the Content, Circle, or Product.
Paid messages, paid posts, and other protected content may be restricted from editing or deletion after purchase to preserve the purchased item and reduce member disputes.
Tips and guest tips are voluntary support payments. Tips do not grant access, deliverables, special treatment, or Creator responses unless Concord expressly says otherwise.
13. Creator Content Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your content, paid benefits, community operations, member communications, and promises to members.
You must maintain rights to the content you monetize, comply with intellectual property laws, avoid deceptive claims, and provide reasonable support for paid benefits you offer.
14. Prohibited Monetization Rules
You may not monetize content, products, services, or benefits that are illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, exploitative, unsafe, or prohibited by Concord, Stripe, app-store rules, card networks, payment providers, or law.
Prohibited monetization includes scams, impersonation, stolen content, unlawful sexual content, exploitation of minors, hate or harassment products, illegal drugs, weapons, unauthorized gambling or raffles, regulated financial or medical claims, malware, privacy violations, sanctions violations, and activity Concord considers high-risk or harmful. (We are working on welcoming NSFW content creators to Concord. At this time, explicit nudity and other graphical NSFW content is not permitted).
Concord may reject or remove monetization even if the underlying content is otherwise allowed on Concord.
15. Access, Entitlements & Content Availability
Concord may grant, limit, restore, or revoke access, roles, entitlements, and paid-content visibility based on payment status, subscription status, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, moderation decisions, bans, content removal, or technical availability.
Paid content may become unavailable if you delete, archive, modify, lose rights to, or are required to remove it. Concord does not guarantee that any paid content, Circle, Creator, or feature will remain available forever.
16. Payouts, Reserves & Delays
Creator Earnings are provisional until cleared, available, and paid out. Concord may hold reserves, delay availability, set payout schedules, require minimum balances, withhold funds, or pause payouts to manage refunds, chargebacks, disputes, fraud, legal risk, policy issues, payout failures, or negative balances.
Current implementation includes a default 10% reserve, a 14-day payout delay, and weekly payout scheduling. Concord may change reserves, payout delays, payout schedules, payout minimums, or payout eligibility based on risk, payment-provider requirements, law, or platform policy.
17. Negative Balances & Recovery
If refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fees, payout reversals, corrections, or other adjustments exceed your available balance or reserve, your creator account may carry a negative balance.
Concord may recover negative balances from future earnings, available balances, reserves, reversed payouts, Stripe balance activity, or other lawful recovery methods.
18. Refunds
Generally, refunds are at the superior discretion of Creators; however, Concord may issue refunds at its discretion or when required by law, Stripe, card networks, app stores, payment providers, fraud controls, duplicate-payment handling, moderation, unavailable content, or policy enforcement.
Refunds may reduce Creator Earnings and may revoke related member access, roles, entitlements, or subscriptions.
19. Disputes & Chargebacks
You are responsible for disputes, chargebacks, evidence, complaints, and dispute fees related to your paid content or benefits.
Concord may require information from you, submit evidence, revoke access, reverse commissions, withhold payouts, debit reserves, carry forward negative balances, or take other actions needed to manage payment risk.
If a dispute is won or reversed, Concord may restore access or earnings where supported by Concord and payment-provider records.
20. Collaborations & Revenue Splits
If you enable creator collaborations or revenue splits, you are responsible for the collaboration terms you approve.
Concord may allocate sale proceeds, platform fees, processor fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, reversals, and negative-balance impacts according to recorded split data. Collaborator payouts remain subject to this Agreement.
21. Payout Owner Changes
Changing the Payout Owner may require new onboarding, Stripe review, country or currency review, acceptance of Stripe terms, and Concord approval.
Some payout-country, currency, Stripe account, and monetized asset settings may become locked after monetized assets or Stripe accounts are created.
22. Data, Records & Audits
Concord may create, process, and retain checkout records, payout records, ledger entries, entitlement records, Stripe identifiers, refund records, dispute records, support records, analytics, audit logs, and moderation records to operate monetization, prevent fraud, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce this Agreement.
You may not misuse member information, transaction information, or analytics obtained through Concord.
23. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your content. By monetizing content, you grant Concord the rights needed to host, protect, display, promote, sell access to, process payments for, moderate, and deliver your paid content and related previews.
Members receive limited access rights only. They do not receive ownership or redistribution rights of your content without your explicit written consent.
24. Enforcement
Concord may reject, review, pause, limit, unpublish, disable, refund, revoke access, remove content, block monetization, hold payouts, reverse fees, suspend accounts, or terminate monetization if Concord believes there is legal, payment, safety, fraud, rights, tax, policy, or platform risk.
Concord may take enforcement action without advance notice where required to protect members, creators, payment systems, Concord, Stripe, app stores, card networks, or the public.
25. No Guaranteed Earnings or Availability
Concord does not guarantee sales, revenue, payouts, member growth, conversion rates, uninterrupted access, payment-provider availability, or continued availability of any Monetization Feature.
26. Relationship of the Parties
You are not Concord’s employee, agent, partner, franchisee, or joint venturer. You are responsible for your own content, business activities, taxes, legal compliance, and obligations to members.
27. Termination
This Agreement applies while you use Monetization Features and continues afterward for obligations that survive, including refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes, negative balances, payout holds, reporting, audits, and enforcement.
Concord may terminate or disable creator monetization at any time consistent with this Agreement.
28. Changes
Concord may update this Agreement and Rules. Material changes will be communicated where required.
Concord may update operational, safety, payment, or risk rules sooner when needed for law, Stripe, app stores, card networks, fraud prevention, or platform safety. Continued use of Monetization Features means you accept the updated terms.
