🌐 Concord Terms of Service & Community Rules

Welcome to Concord, where meaningful connection is more than just chats.
These Terms are our shared framework for how we show up for each other in this space we’ve built together.

By using Concord, you agree to these Terms of Service & Community Rules (“Terms”). If something here doesn’t align with you, you’ll need to pause your use of the platform and delete your account.

1. What You’re Agreeing To

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Concord Studios LLC ("we", "us", "our"). They work alongside our Privacy Policy to keep everything transparent, fair, and accountable.

2. Who Can Use Concord

Concord is for mature users only — age 16+. Some features will be limited until you're 18.
By joining, you confirm that:

• You're at least 16 years of age

• You can enter into this binding contract

• You're not restricted from using our services

• You agree to play by all local laws and rules

3. Your Account, Your Identity

🛠 Creating Your Account

You’ll need to create a profile with honest, accurate info. Keep it real — that’s what Concord is about.

🔐 Security is Shared

You're responsible for your login through the login provider (Google/Apple). 

4. What Concord Offers

Concord is more than an app — it's a space for shared presence. Features include (not limited to):

• Real-time communication (text, audio, video, media)

• Smart social discovery & value-based recommendations

• Real-time live communication

• Bubbles — interest-driven communities

• Deep profile and overall experience customization

• Meaningful interaction tools

5. Our Community Culture

We believe digital spaces should feel human. These are our shared ground rules:

🧠 Respect is Non-Negotiable

• Kindness is a minimum

• Harassment, bullying, and threats are not tolerated

• Consent is required, always

• Use our report tools when needed

📸 Profiles Must Be Real

• Post honest, authentic content

• Impersonation and catfish = instant removal

• Remaining anonymous is allowed — you may use images that are not you, but you may not use images that are of someone else; i.e. images that are considered abstract or of an environment, an animated or fictional character and similar are permitted. Users will be able to filter out profiles without high quality face photos in the 'Find Your People' screen.

• Face photos must be of yourself and should not be overly edited, distorted, or mis conveyed — you must truly look like your photos. High quality face photos will increase your rankings in the 'People' screen — your profile will be shown to more people.

💬 Messaging Etiquette

• Be kind, thoughtful, and human — NovaAI™ will minimise abuse, discrimination, bullying, etc

• Unsolicited sexual content is a violation — NovaAI™ will minimise this

• Don’t spam or flood chats — NovaAI™ will minimise this

• Always respect people’s boundaries

6. Content and Conduct We Don’t Allow

To keep Concord safe, some things are strictly off-limits.

🚫 Forbidden Content

• Hate speech or slurs (against race, religion, gender, sexuality, etc.)

• Threats, doxxing, harassment

• Self-harm encouragement or violent content

• Sexually explicit material in inappropriate or non-consensual contexts

• Misinformation or scams

• Spam, phishing, or harmful code

🚫 Forbidden Behavior

• Breaking any laws

• Infringing intellectual property

• Circumventing security or moderation

• Creating fake profiles

• Unapproved commercial activity

• Sharing others' private info without consent

🫧 In Bubbles

Each Bubble can set its own rules — but platform-wide rules always apply. No Bubble can override Concord’s global safety standards.

7. Moderation & Enforcement

We blend smart tech with human review to maintain safe spaces.

🤖 Automated Moderation

• Advanced content scanning with context interpretation 

• Automatic blocks on high-risk material

• Flagging systems for human review

🛡 Enforcement Tools

• Warnings (infringements) or content removal

• Partial suspensions from certain features

• Temporary or permanent account suspensions

• Temporary or permanent Bubble suspensions

• Deletion after 90 days if permanently suspended

8. Bubbles — Our Community Spaces

✨ Creating a Bubble

Bubble creators are community leaders. You set the tone and rules (within our platform values).

🧰 Tools for Moderators

• Infringements - issue warnings to keep track of user behaviour (feature in development)

• Mute / Ban - with optional durations and reasons

• Filter or remove inappropriate content

• Set visibility and age/content filters

• Control sexual content settings

🙋 Responsibilities of All Members

• Follow both global and Bubble-specific rules

• Respect moderator decisions

• Report issues to mods and/or to us

9. Reporting & Appeals

📢 Report Anything Unsafe

You can report:

• Problematic users

• Inappropriate content or chats

• Unsafe Bubbles

• Any violation of these Terms

Think something was unfairly flagged or blocked?

• File an appeal with context

• Our Trust & Safety team will review it

• We’ll let you know what we decide

10. Content Ownership & Sharing

🖼 Your Content = Still Yours

You own what you create. But by posting it on Concord, you give us permission to use, adapt, and share it within the app to make features work as intended.

11. Location Features

Your location is yours to control. You can:

• Opt in or out of location services

• Use Travel Mode to appear elsewhere temporarily (feature in development)

• Change your visibility in discovery

• Adjust location-sharing in privacy settings

12. Real-Life Safety

🌐 Staying Safe Online

• Don’t overshare private info with people you don't trust

• Block/report anyone who makes you uncomfortable

• Watch for red flags — trust your instincts

🤝 Meeting in Person

If you decide to meet up IRL:

• Meet in public

• Tell a trusted someone your plans and share your location with them

• Video call first

• Safety first, always

13. Legal Notes

⚙️ Service Availability

We offer Concord as is. Downtime may happen, bugs exist, and features evolve.

👥 User Interactions

We can’t control people — but we do our best to keep this space accountable. You’re responsible for your own interactions.

🧾 Limited Liability

To the extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for indirect damages or anything beyond what’s covered under these Terms.

14. Account Closure

🔚 You Can Leave Anytime

Delete your account through the settings menu.

🛑 We Can Also Remove Accounts

If rules are broken or we believe safety is at risk, we may suspend or terminate accounts.

🧼 After Deletion

Some data may be retained for legal or safety reasons. In most instances, all data is permanently deleted within 100 days after deletion.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves, with or without notice. Material updates may be shared in-app or via email. Continued use = acceptance of the changes.
